ES 350

  • 95,000 miles
The contact owns a 2007 Lexus ES350 equipped with kumho ecsta LX platinum tires, size: 215/557R17 (na). Four tires were purchased new and installed on june20,2016. While driving 70 mph, the tires began to vibrate. The driver could barely steer and maintain control of the vehicle. The following day, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the interior belt slipped and three of the four tires were faulty. The tires were not repaired or replaced. The contact planned to replace the tires this week. Tires were rotated but vibration continued. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 94,500. The VIN was unknown. Purchased 4 new tires from costco in June 2012. Since Nov. 2013 the tire pressure light has been on several times even though they are filled with nitrogen for better pressure. I have taken the car back in to costco tire center several times. The tires were checked, refilled and rotated and no slow leak was found. The tires are still under the 60,000 mile warranty. I barely put 5,000 miles per year on my car. Going back today hoping I don't have to get 2 new rear tires.
