I purchased this car - Lexus 2009 ES 350 - used in November 2017 totally unaware of the "melting dashboard" problem with Lexus cars. Otherwise I would never have bought it. It looks disgusting and unsightly and ruins my whole experience with driving a beautiful luxury car. My car was in a garage for the first 2-3 months I owned it, then I noticed the melting when I started to park it in my parking lot exposed to the Florida sun. I was devastated when I noticed it since I was advised how great the Lexus brand was.
I then went on the internet to investigate the problem and found this website along with the lawsuit for a number of Toyota and Lexus brands for certain years. Unfortunately, my Lexus ES350 is a year late for the lawsuit - last year to be included in the lawsuit was 2008, However, I have the same problem the other cars have and don't think it is fair. Obviously, Lexus continued to use this defective dashboard Please note I have only owned this car a few months. The car had two owner before me and was obviously garaged all the time unless it was fixed and not reported before I purchased it. I don't know. I want to have this problem resolved and am open to any advice! It has caused me so much stress1
