Takata recall. Over a year to rectify the air bag problem"! come on, this is just absolutely ridiculous! I find it offensive that Lexus even suggests that no one sit in the passenger seat until the problem is fixed...really"! Lexus should compensate their customers for the anguish and time associated with this problem. One of the reasons I bought a Lexus is because of minimal safety concerns...will definitely consider this issue when purchasing a new vehicle in the future.

Takata recall. Ln April 2011 we bought a 2011 Lexus E350 from, pohanka Lexus in chantilly (13909 lee jackson memorial hwy, chantilly, va 20151, pohankalexuschantilly.com, (703) 968-9100). In September 2016 we received a E letter informing us of a dangerous condition requiring a recall and immediate repairs. The condition was that the passenger side air bag could explode during deployment and cause serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Since then, we have called pohanka Lexus numerous time and all we get is the classic runaround that they are "working the problem." That is not good enough. They should either fix this dangerous condition or give us a replacement vehicle of similar year, model and condition. The dealer has not repaired the vehicle.

Takata recall. When do they propose to do something since it has been over a year since I received the notice. It is nice that they say don't drive with an occupant in the front passenger seat. However, not everyone has the luxury of doing this. Maybe Lexus executives have multiple vehicles so they do not have to have passengers ride with them. If that is their solution, the CEO of Lexus can lend me one of his cars until they get around to fixing mine.

Takata recall the NHTSA recall no. 16V-340. Dealer, henessey Lexus, located on satellite blvd., duluth Georgia, committed to February 2017 airbag replacement and did not follow through. They have now moved the timeline to October 2017 at the earliest which is completely unacceptable and they offered no alternative. Please advise what action can be taken to ensure the airbag replacement is completed asap as we are very concerned about the ongoing safety issue. Thanks you, [xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

Takata recall I received a recall notice June 9, 2016. On October 3, 2016 I spoke with laurie who alleged that I was in zone a which would be among the first to be repaired (anticipated date of repair the first of the year). I called back on 1-11-17 and spoke with joel. The dealership had not rec'd the parts, they have not heard from takata. In the interim I have been asked that no one sit on the passenger side until the issue is resolved. I should continue paying for a luxury vehicle that they have asked no one sit in. It is my belief that neither Lexus or takata intend on remedying this defect. I am outraged that in almost a year absolutely nothing has been done. Yet, Lexus still expects payment. And, to add insult to injury they have put, in writing, that the vehicle is not safe. In writing: High temperatures and humidity (state of Georgia) cause the issue to worsen. Does the NHTSA deem this appropriate?
