"takata recall" I received a letter May 23, 2016 that the takata airbags were defective and to wait for instructions. I called Lexus July 19, 2016 and asked when the replacements would be available "we don't know" was their answer. NHTSA should have the authority to tell takata you will put no air bags in any new car sold in the United States until you have fixed all of the "takata recalls". I need a whole car with my family. I went to buy a new car (not a Lexus) because of this problem and was offered less money for my trade in because of the "takata problem". if NHTSA does not hold takata's feet to the fire, then NHTSA is protecting takata and americans. Takata recall. I live in zone a. my Lexus dealer still has no parts. Your repair rate chart has no listing for Lexus. I take this to mean that no Lexus air bags have been replaced. I find this very disturbing. I would like to know when I can expect the air bag in my car to be replaced.

Takata recall. I received a recall notice eleven months ago. May 2016. I was told the replacement would take place in late December 2016 or by January 2017. It is now April 21, 2017 and as of this day nothing. Toyota has had ample time to resolve this issue. My vehicle is in zone a recall. We have inquired through Lexus every 60 days, as to staus of repair/recall and each time have been told there is no information or remedy available as yet. One year is ample time to find a solution to this problem. What is my recourse at this point?

When calling Lexus to schedule repair I get a response of "we will have parts in 2 weeks, we can;T take appointments yet!". this has been going on for a year!!!!. there interim solution is to not have anyone sit in the front passenger seat"?" fine if that was for a day or two - but a year!!!
