And in the recall, there is a statement saying:"you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat"

"takata recall" a recall letter was received in December from Lexus stating that until a remedy becomes available we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. That's really inconvenient and now I'm thinking, should I, the driver, be up here as well" is my seat safe" it's now almost April '17 and still there is no update from anyone.

Takata recall. Lexus notified me of the airbag problem recall on May 23, 2016. It has been 10 months since I was notified and Lexus continues to tell me they are not prepared to fix my car, and they have no idea when they can! to make matters worse L recently tried to trade-in my Lexus at a Honda dealership and they did not want the car because the recall is not fixed ! rightly so because they should not be able to sell the car with a recall not repaired! so I'm stuck with it till Lexus can fix it. So not right!!

I have called and contacted Lexus many times regarding the problem with my Lexus car. I have followed up and done all the required feedback needed in order for Lexus to assist me. I feel that customers do not really matter because of the length of time Lexus is taking to ensure the safety of the people who drive the vehicles when there may be a serious matter. The car manual states one thing and Lexus does not even abide by the car alerts and does not appear to care if the customer is safe or not. I have taken my car to 3 different car maintenance shops regarding the tire pressure light and I have replaced many sensors and the light continue not to go off. The brakes in my car totally went out and caused an accident.. I have been told also what about the air bag. Why did Lexus not contact me to take my car in for air bag replacement because it did not deploy in the accident. This is a Lexus vehicle and I do not understand why Lexus cannot give an explanation of what is wrong. I wonder if Lexus is waiting on another tragedy to happen before intervening. God protect me everyday but Lexus has a big responsibility and because of the name should step up to the plate.I still have not been contacted by Lexus to resolve the problem with my tire pressure light. I received a letter from carlos garcia with toyoto which in the letter he had statement that did not exist and I called Lexus and someone stated they did not give toyoto that information. In the letter from toyoto, only the airbag was addressed which my whole case has nothing to do with the air bags. I called Mr. Garcia and he stated that he had accidently mistaken me with the wrong person and that he will call me the next day to clear the matter up.

Takata recall. Date of the recall is 5/23/16. Today is 2/27/17. Lexus' advice is to not allow anyone to ride in the passenger seat until the airbag is replaced. Lexus told me today they have no scheduled date for when takata will have the replacement airbag available for my model. 10 months (with no repair date scheduled) is unreasonable and unacceptable while having to avoid having a passenger ride in the front seat. And I see only 28% of the Lexus vehicles have had the passenger airbags replace thus far. So my complaint is that the action being taken by NHTSA and Lexus, and the urgency by takata are unacceptable. It is approaching a year now that we will been asked to ride in a potentially unsafe vehicle. Absurd.

My tire pressure light came on in my vehicle in October. The light would not go off. I took the car to the shop and 2 sensor lights were replaced. The light stayed off for a day and came back on. The shop that replaced the sensor said to bring it back the next day because they do not know what is wrong because there are no longer any sensor to replace. When I arrived home I proceeded to back into my carport and when I proceeded to get on break to put the car in reverse, the brake failed and I had an accident that caused a lot of damage to my car. Thank god I was not physical hurt but my car was. My insurance company was contacted and vehicle was repaired. When I picked up my vehicle after paying my deductible, I was told by abra auto parts that they have replaced all the damages however the tire pressure light still will not go off and we should follow up with the Lexus dealer because that was a matter that cannot be fixed by them. I contacted the Lexus company many, many times and still have not received a clear explanation of why the light will not go off. I explained to them that I have looked at the Lexus manual and it stated that if that light remain on, the vehicle should be taken to a Lexus dealer to investigate the issue. On November 21st Lexus scheduled me to take my vehicle in to the Toyota dealer to investigate the situation. I did take the car in and to this date Lexus has not answered the question whether or not there is a defect. This is a serious matter because the lights are designed to alert you when something is wrong. Lexus may not take it serious, but I do because I never know if something is actually going on and my life could be in danger. I also received a letter regarding the air bag from Lexus. They advised do not let anyone ride on passenger side of car until we hear back from them. To this day they have not addressed that situation.

Takata recall. Today's date: 01/27/17. I'm filling this complaint in regards to the takata airbag recall. I am upset and dissatisfied that no remedy/solution has been taken regarding this issue. I received a letter back in June 2016 about this recall and also a couple pages of faq. I called up my local dealership today, and was informed the parts to fix this recall issue are still not available. According to the safety instructions listed on the recall notice: "until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat." How much longer must my four-person passenger car remain a three-person passenger car" how much longer must so many others and myself have to wait for this issue to be fixed? how much longer must I drive my car and have to worry about possibly getting into an accident and having shrapnel propelled at me from my passenger seat air bag" the wait time for the parts to be issued to resolve this recall is absurd.
