I just purchased a 2014 Lexus ES 350 as a second vehicle. On the second day that I had the car it had rained earlier that day, so I waited a couple hours after the rain to go drive my new car. The roads still had a little moisture on them. When I get back home I open my door and that all the door jams were black and my car is pearl white. So I checked all the doors and all the door jams were black. So the type of person that I am that likes everything to be clean. I had to clean the door jams which wasn't fun. So now since it is my second car I decided I'm not going use it on rainy days! I'm a member to a car wash, that you just pull up to it scans the barcode sticker you put on your windshield. You drive up put your car in neutral two minutes later the car is clean and the tires have tire shine on them. I always pass a dry towel to wipe up any drops of water left from the car wash. By the time I get home the tire shine has flung all over the sides of the car. I called the Lexus dealer I purchase the car from and asked them if they had splash guards available for the car. They said there wasn't anything available. I searched all over the internet and they don't have any thing that fits a 2014. Most luxury cars have splash guards that are color-coded to the color of the car. I love the car but absolutely hate this problem. It rides awesome very smooth, it's quite and looks good. I would pay $300 for a set of splash guards if the were available. I buy new vehicles every year and I've never had a vehicle that gets dirty like this one.
