Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Lexus GX460. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V006000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer (Lexus of winter park, 305 N semoran blvd, winter park, fl 32792, (407) 678-2000) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide a reasonable date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall. Approximately one year ago I received a notice of airbag recall with instructions to contact a Lexus dealer for replacement of the airbag. I have contacted two different dealers throughout the year and have been told repeatedly that no "fix" is available. Due to the strong warning of the dangers attached to this recall, I question why are lives being put in danger when the fix should have been available relatively soon after notification. !!!!

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Herb chambers Lexus in hingham, Massachusetts was made aware of the recall and stated that the parts would not become available until November of 2017. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. The VIN was not available.

Takata recall. Unacceptable wait time for remedy (replacement.) in our present home state of Florida, another(!!) floridian has died -- this time, a 34yr old woman, 07.28.2017. During the mandatory hurricane evacuation, our family was forced to use our front passenger seat. Thank G-D nothing happened, but this corrective period is gone on too long. We have been waiting months for resolution -- and all we are told is that the necessary part is unavailable and to wait longer -- and in the interim place our family in a potentially deadly situation. What is it going to take to get the replacement air bag"! does someone's teenage child have to die during a mandatory evacuation in order for resolution to happen?! I am tired of being patient. Please, someone explain the lack of apparent urgency. How many more people need to die? the death toll estimate is now 19. How many more people need to die before the rest of us get answers?!"!

"takata recall" - the recall has been in place since January 2017 and there is no remedy to date other than I am not supposed to have a passenger in my vehicle for months on end. This is an unreasonable request for the length of time this is going on. There is also not a future planned date of when the air bag will be replaced.

Takata recall - since receiving the recall notice of the takata airbag, I haven't been given any updates on what the remedy is or when the recall can be scheduled to get the fix repaired. This everlasting uncertainty has left me without a fully functional car, as well as forcing me to make all passengers sit in the back seats to avoid potential injury. How can I get Lexus to act on this, if not inform the public of the plan to complete?
