The contact owns a 2010 Lexus HS250. The vehicle was repaired for recall 10V285000 (fuel system, gasoline: Storage). When the contact received the vehicle back and was driving approximately 65 mph, he heard a rattle from under the vehicle. One week later, he could no longer hear the rattling. He then noticed the check engine light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was told to tighten the gas cap. The failure continued where the dealer stated that the gas cap still was not tightened. The failure continued. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000 and the current mileage was approximately 9,500.
