The car was in the garage and the seat belt came part way out and then locked so that I could not fasten it. I could not get it to budge not matter how gently I pulled. The dealer recommended a complete replacement. They stated that the warranty for seat belts expired at 50,000. However, when I pressed for Lexus to cover this defective safety component anyway, they decided not to charge me anything due to my long record with the dealership. Good for Lexus. However, seat belts should not fail like this. If I were on a long trip, this would have been a safety hazard.

This complaint is for Lexus dealership in roseville California. I took my 2006 Is 250 in due to I received a safety recall notice from Lexus for front seat belts (seat belts locking up). They ordered the parts back in May 06, until now it hasn't came in. I checked on the status a month ago and the dealership told me they lost all the order information (without notifying me) and had to order it again. Its been almost 3 months and I still don't have my new seat belts I am submitting this complaint because I believed the dealership has failed to remedy the defect within reasonable time..this is a safety issue specially I have a pregnant wife that rides with me or drives the car occasionally.
