In January of 2019 I has an issue with a fuel sensor and paid Lexus dealership $1800 to have it replaced. I am now having the same issue and have discovered there a recall on this car for the same thing. I feel like I should be refunded my money.

Upon parking vehicle accelerated when the brake was applied. I questioned myself if the incident could have been operator related. I was propelled into a steel barrier that resulted in damage to the front bumper and grill. Later that day the car accelerated a second time when applying the brakes while parking the vehicle. Fortunately no one was in front of me. No one was hurt and the air bags did not deploy. This second incident has lead me to believe that the car is not safe to drive. Toyota investigated the incident and is explaining that my foot was on the accelerator pedal and break at the same time which is just not true. I can't drive the vehicle or sell it. I'm disappointed at this car company.

This vehicle went into the Lexus dealership for a recall on the fuel system. After receiving it back from the dealership, the vehicle shuts off completely without notice. The vehicle has been back to the dealership for repairs and each time it is returns, within a week the vehicle shuts down. As of October, the dealership has received almost $8000 for repairs. This vehicle is becoming a death trap. It would shut down after stopping at a stop light or stop sign, but the last two times, it has shut off while driving. Once on the interstate. We are asking that something be done immediately, this car is unsafe to drive and the dealership continues to find other issues to make money, but has failed to repair the issue caused by the recall repair. Lexus headquarters has been notified. The Maryland attorney general has been requested to intervene and assist us with this issue. Your help would truly be appreciated.

My husband was driving on I 295 in Maryland, when the car suddenly shutdown. He stated he was going approximately 55 miles per hour and was fortunate enough to be able to maneuver from the middle lane to the side of the road. This is not the first time the vehicle shutdown completely. The previous incidents occurred after stopping at a stop sign or signal. The vehicle has been to the Lexus dealership in Maryland for repairs, but each time(at least 4 now) within a 6-7 days, the vehicle shuts down. These incidents did not start until after the dealership took care of the fuel recall, April of 2015.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Is 250. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure for years in which there were strong fumes of fuel emitting into the interior of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for NHTSA campaign id numbers: 11V029000 (fuel system, gasoline), 14V647000 (fuel system, gasoline) and was unable to determine what parts were replaced by the dealer. The dealer diagnosed that there was a potential fuel pressure sensor leak and that the fuel pressure sensor may need to be replaced but the dealer did not replace the part. The mechanic indicated the sealing property of the gasket was resealed near the the fuel delivery pipe. The contact was concerned that the failure was only sealed and that the fuel delivery pipe and the fuel pressure sensors were not replaced. The contact indicated that within a week of the repair the srong fumes of fuel continued. The vehicle was not repaired from the recalls and the contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer to take the vehicle to an authorized dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

The engine upon cold start up makes a rattling noise and is very loud. Lexus in September recalled the Lexus is 350 for the same reason and they said the car was unsafe to drive. However, I called Lexus customer satisfaction and they diagnosed it as the same issue at my dealership, but would not correct the problem. Also, back in March the vehicle smelt like raw gasoline, so I took it to the dealer and it was leaking gas in the engine compartment. The dealer told me due to the gas vapor, which is extremely flammable that the car could have exploded. However, Lexus would not cover this safety issue under warranty either. This vehicle has been a death trap from day one. It has also been recalled for the faulty gas pedal, brakes working improperly, other fuel line issues other than I mentioned, and even the windshield wipers.

I recieved a safety recall notice from Lexus for my car. I have made multiple calls to Lexus to set up an appointment to get the car fixed. They do not return my calls. It has been over a month since I first contacted them.
