The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the manufacturer's recall for the dashboard had expired in March 2021. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 279,000.

The contact owns a 2008 Lexus LS460. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the front and rear windshield was completely covered with fog without any warnings. The contact stated the failure to be a significant safety issue since it blocked his visibility. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised him to used the recycled air instead of the air conditioner unit. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 55,000.
