The contact owned a 2017 Lexus Nx200T. While driving 11 mph into a garage, the vehicle accelerated without warning and crashed into the back wall of the garage. All the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. Both the driver and the front passenger sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the engineering department would follow up on the failure, but the contact was still awaiting a call back. The failure mileage was approximately 11,500.
