My Lexus is like new, it stays in a closed garage except when making short trips to store, church or other businesses close by. The dashboard started cracking around 1st May 2018. Called Lexus and they said sorry there's no warranty, you'll have to pay for the replacement. Checked price and it is around $1200.00.
I don't think I should have to pay the full price for a replacement because it's a manufacture problem. I love the car, but unless Lexus decides to help on this, we probably won't purchase another Lexus product.

Bought car new. There's a slight crease above dashboard. A black razor-like cut. I always pointed this out to tech... he said would fix when it got worse. It was always garaged... then got worse 3 months ago. It started peeling around key and it was a mess. Tech said corporate would handle it if I called... he said, that year was notorious for problem...
I always had Lexus service. I called corporate, they were rude, repetitive and loyal family of Lexus owners, no MORE!!! No one wants to fix... disgusting.

We have one owner RX 330 2005 SPORT Luxury with dashboard cracks (and a sticky feel when touched). Vehicle was taken to Melbourne City Lexus where photos were taken and sent to head office for assessment. Finally got in touch with them after waiting for a call back (they had the wrong contact details). Lexus replied stating that 'Lexus has denied our request. Outside support parameters (wear and tear)'.
On the day I was there, they advised that an identical vehicle had the dashboard replaced the day before and that it was a 'common problem'. Dashboards have been replaced in the US yet in Australia there seems to be a resistance ( seems some dealers can assist,, while others can't). I was then advised by the dealer to contact Lexus 1800 023 009 (* who had my mobile number under the wrong person ) and bluntly told that that was the final decision.
Keen to have some feedback. Experience - not so amazing.

2005 Lexus RX330 with Cracked dashboard. Never received any letter from Lexus

The cracks did not start until after recall had expired. Contacted Lexus and was told too bad. The cracking continued to get worse. Toyota/Lexus needs to be held accountable and replace ALL dashes regardless of their previous "recall expiration"!!!
