the lexus club web site is riddled with the same complaint. Lexus corporate addresses the problem individually per complaint. Some individuals are getting new paint jobs on the defective parts no charge one time fix, I have been offered a 50% discount (which is ridiculous as the paint is defective) to the tune of 780.00 my portion to remedy the issue.
The paint on my 2004 and 2006 toyotas is perfect, sad that my 47,000 dollar lexus is only expected to look good for 4 years according to Lexus corporate!

I understand, that it is an older car, and that it depends on the environment in which the car is in most of the time. That being said, I had a 2006 Pontiac, with the same mileage, and the paint never peeled, or rusted.
