2017 Lexus RX350. While the vehicle was parked, the start button was depressed, but the vehicle did not start until after the fourth attempt. The failure occurred approximately four other times. The temperature outside was at or below 37. The failure occurred only after the vehicle had not been driven for two or more days in month of Dec.
The message appeared – to press the brake pedal. The brake pedal was depressed simultaneously when the start button was depressed. After the fourth occurrence the vehicle was taken to Tom Woods in Indy for investigation. Dealer could not replicate.
