The sunroof of my 2023 Lexus SUV had a defect and shattered/exploded outwards due to a defect in the tempered glass while driving on the highway. The glass shards fell from the sunroof and cut my face while driving. I had to have a nurse remove the glass shards from my face. Fortunately in this scenario, it did not cause me to lose control of my vehicle on a congested highway. The sunroof defects with Toyota and Lexus vehicles have been documented by several customers online and through several class action lawsuits. The vehicle has been sent to a local Toyota/Lexus dealership for inspection and repair. There were no warnings, messages or other symptoms that the sunroof shattering/exploding could happen.

We were driving down the expressway when our panoramic window exploded. There was no one around us, therefore it was not a rock that hit us. Thankfully, we had had the window tinted, therefore the glass didn't shatter around us. We took the car into the service department, and the service man said that it was a rock, but it was not a rock.

I bought vehicle on May 31, 2023. In October 2023, while I was driving, a warning came on saying system malfunction, to visit dealer. I left my car with Lexus Dealer on Friday, I didn't get my car back until the following Tuesday. Then it happened again on 11/28/23 again the warning light came back on indicating system malfunction, visit dealer, and received the car back on 12/4/23. My vehicle is only 4174 miles.

I recently purchased this vehicle new from Spokane Lexus. Come to find out there are no provisions for a tow hook front or rear. In the owners manual it clearly shows that there is a cover plate in the front grille that is removed to accomodate the eyebolt that is stored in the tool kit next to the spare tire. My vehicle does not have either of these, even though there is a molded place, next to the spare tire, to accomodate the eyebolt. So there no provisions for a tow truck to winch this vehicle onto a flat bed tow truck, if the vehicle does not move under it's own power. This vehicle was built in Canada for the US market. I have been told by the US Lexus Dealers that only vehicles built in Japan have the provision for the towing eye bolt. Previous Toyota & Lexus Vehicles have this provision. Why doesn't mine"???????"

On Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, while driving on the highway, my sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gun shot. I drove it to the place I bought my Lexus, in March, called Sewell Lexus Dallas. They gave me a rental and said they would have their technicians look at it. They called me on Monday and said their technicians decide it wasn't a manufacture defect, but they couldn't tell me of any evidence to why or what might have caused it. Furthermore, they suggested I report it to my insurance, and it would cost $4000 to replace. This is dangerous, to have a sunroof explode on the highway, it could have caused an accident. Lexus is not taking any ownership, it is a Lexus problem because it is a manufacturer problem.

on July 18 2023 I was sitting in my car with airconditioner on around $11.20 am in sunlake arizona suddenly i heard a big bang sound, really scared and went out checked everywhere not find anything, after sometime we drive from there to home rear passenger told some abnormal sound and something is wrong, sudden i pull over the car in a safe place check everything find out that the New RX 350 F sports rear Panoramic moon roof was completly shatterd, and the debris are falling down. how the roof glass break such a way, its so annoying and un imaginable. its a very saftey risk for the rear seat passengers exspecially for kids. why such a reputed company make such a delicate item for the outer side of the car body, please look in to the matter and take appropriate action to avoid any injuries to lexus rear side passengers.
