Okay. Lexus replaced the ABS actuator with a new one last year. And guess what? The problem is back. After paying approximately $2300, the ABS actuator is giving me a grinding noise whenever I press the brake pedal.

I took it to Lexus maintenance and they told me that my ABS actuator is getting weaker, once I told him that I just replaced it less than a year ago he showed a surprise on his face that he quickly hid from me.

I'll go next week and check with them again.

The problem is so common, the mechanic told me that this problem is so common for Lexus and Toyota Highlander cars for models 2006, 2007 and 2008. He told me that he imports 40 abs actuators every month and they all get sold, the price for the abs actuator is $1830.

To add insult to injury, the mechanic told me that if the ABS actuator doesn't get replaced correctly (which is a very common mistake), it will become defunct in less than a year.

I have replaced my ABS actuator less than a year ago, and now the problem is back. I will file another complaint concerning my new ABS actuator on this website.

I believe that Lexus Corporation is choosing to be willfully blind about the ABS actuator problem since its profiting millions of dollars from its defunct abs actuator parts. Just another light bulb conspiracy I assume, this time by Lexus.
