Having owned RX 350s and 400h for the last 10 years, I was shocked when I got to an intersection of a main road that had just been plowed and the car couldn't make it over the 3 inch lip caused by the snowplow until I rocked the vehicle backwards and then charged through. Same thing happened a few weeks later in another storm and I couldn't move forward after being parked in 4-5 inches of snow. And yes, I had it in snow drive mode each time.
The dealer checked the AWD system and said it was functioning. I wound up driving my wife's Subaru whenever it snowed. The Lexus dealer said it never heard of any such problems and neither have I. Now I'm stuck with a lease for two more winters for a car that is useless in the snow.
