I took delivery of the new vehicle in mid March and with the first tank of gas noticed that after driving over 300 miles the fuel gauge was not dropping at the rate expected. Luckily I stopped to refuel and found the tank was close to empty. I notified dealer about issue and it took a week to hear back--they had me bring vehicle in (110 miles from my home) so they could check it out.
Dealer provided a loaner (as they should have for a new Lexus) and after 4 days called to tell me they learned this was an issue with some of the RX vehicles. Apparently something in the tank itself therefore the tank has to be replaced. BIG problem...there are no replacement tanks available. They have given me an estimated time of repair of over a month! I am driving a lesser valued vehicle -- without all the bells and whistles that I am paying for -- and I have no official date of return of my brand new vehicle.
I've been a Lexus driver for nearly 15 years and this is NOT the Lexus experience. Pretty dissatisfied at this point...and no resolution yet. My patience is running out!!
