problem #1

My Lincoln Aviator was stalling out while idling. The problem continued to get worse. I tookk it to several shops that wouldn't open the hood. They wanted me to leave the vehicle and rent a car. Finally, I found Jimmy's in Dumfries. He looked under the hood and in less than 5 min. saw that there was a bad hose, air intake. The hose probable cost a dollar or less, but was so important to stopping the problem. He over charged me a little that day. But I was so greatful to have the problem solved, I paid the 80 dollars happily and got a promise that future repairs would be more reasonable. He agreed and has more than followed through with the promise.

So if your Aviator is sputtering or cutting off while idling, check the hoses. Don't get raked over the coals, one guy tried to get me for a lot more and wouldn't even look at it. He diagnosed from the chair.
