This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Lincoln dealer.
MKC died on me three times within two weeks. The first time I had my battery changed immediately, but that did not fix the issue. It definitely is not from any lights being left on in the car as I never turn on my interior lights, or leave my doors open. Headlights are set to automatic so it can't be that either.
It is currently at a local Lincoln dealership, and they said as I am out of the warranty period they would have to charge me their hourly rate until they can diagnose to find the problem (without any idea how long it will take, so I am on the hook to spend hundreds of dollars just on diagnostic alone), plus they have had my car for 3 days now. They seem to have no idea as to what the problem might be, saying it may have to do with my manual tail gate showing an error/that it will not close properly, and claim they cannot open it, even though that never appeared on the dashboard the whole time I had the car.

Battery went dead - had to charge it. This has happened a number of time since I purchased the car in 2015. Took it in to College Mercury where they couldn't diagnose the problem back then. If the car sits in the garage for a week or so, the battery goes dead, so I recharge it at home. Very annoying. I have never seen the welcome lights come on by themselves, even if we walk by with a spare set of keys. Have researched on the web but have found no solution. Dealership has no idea.

This is the second time in 5 months that I have tried to start my car after leaving it in the garage overnight and it won't start. First time I was told that I must have left my lights on and argued with the dealership that I don't leave my lights on ever, they are in the automatic setting. Was told there was nothing wrong with the car and sent me on my way.
This morning again, no power, can't even manually open my liftgate to retrieve items. Waiting for the dealership to tell me again that there isn't anything wrong. There is something electrical going on but becoming very frustrated with a car I have had not even two years.

Twice in 3 months, battery completely dead after being in the garage overnight. No problems with vehicle until after modem sensor update service performed. Took the vehicle to the dealership each time and they can not detect a problem. Of course, they only looked at the vehicle for less than 1 hour the second time and only did a draw test because I insisted. The first time, the dealership only checked the battery charge level. Any suggestions? I doubt a new battery will resolve the issue.

My 2015 MKC didn't start again for the fourth time in a month, in the shop now for the third time. Probably would be four, but we were on VACATION when it died the third time.
First time at dealer, they ran some diagnostics, did some resetting and was told battery was good. Then we left for vacation. Eight days later stone dead. Got a jump and cut vacation short by 3 days. The day after we got home (2 days later) stone dead again. Got a jump drove to dealer and they had it for 11 days and with 3 pages of technician notes in my hand we came home with a new battery. Three weeks later AGAIN. I don't lock it at night in our garage, so the welcome mat SHOULDN"T be going all disco. The fab is sometimes in the car overnight, but I've been doing this since I got the car in April 2015 and had no trouble with the car what so ever. This started after the recall modem swap. Anyone else had trouble after modem swap? I love this car, but just want it to work!!!!

Three times for no reason, nothing left on, the battery has been completely dead on my 2015 MKC. Ford service cannot find any reason for this. Ahhhhhh

dead battery 3xdead battery repeated 3x
AAA visits on three recent occasions indicated bad battery cell, but also a continuing power drain even though everything appears to be off. There is apparently an unidentified electrical issue with the system.

On Sunday, January 16, 2022, I went out to go to the store. Since I was off the next day (Monday), I decided to take care of it on Monday, January 17, 2022 . My 2015 Lincoln MKC was TOTALLY Dead (did not drive it on Saturday at all), and nothing would come on. I paid 75.00 to a towing service got a jump and went to Auto Zone, which is where I purchased the battery in November of 2020. The Auto Zone employee replaced the battery with a new battery. I drove it all week parked it on Thursday.
Due to impending inclement weather I did not drive it Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I was off on Monday due to snow. On Monday, January 24, 2022, I went out to run an errand, battery was TOTALLY dead again. I called the same towing company, this time it was $60 for a jump. The tow truck owner is a mechanic and checked to make sure my alternator was working. The alternator was fine. I went to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, told the employee what was going on. He stated that they would have to track down what was staying on after the car had been turned off, however their next appointment is not until February 21, 2022, which I accepted. The employee told me to start it daily and let it run for 15-30 minutes. I drove it Monday - Saturday, went to start my car remotely to let it run, and for the third time the battery is TOTALLY dead.
This is too much! I have to get to work. I called a car rental company and was told to rent a compact car from today, Sunday, January 30 until Monday, February 21, 2022 what will cost $1022.00, then I asked for a week and I was told $370.00. Neither of those prices were doable. So I call the towing company again, another $60. I went online and ordered a battery for my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, which had been idle for almost a year, and had a battery installed. The 2015 Lincoln MKC is just parked, I did not have the mechanic to jump the vehicle again.
I really do not trust the car now. Three jumps in 3 weeks and $195 dollars spent just on a tow truck coming out is draining. I am an over-worked under-paid teacher, in the state of NC. Reliable transportation is a must. I will be going in to the dealership to have a conversation with the gentleman that sold me the car 3 years ago. This is my first Lincoln and it may be my last!
