Summary
SOME 2017 MKC VEHICLES WITHOUT THX AUDIO SYSTEMS MAY EXHIBIT A SUBWOOFER DOUBLE POP NOISE DURING A WAKEUP EVENT. A WAKEUP EVENT COULD INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS: DOOR OPEN, KEY FOB USED, TAILGATE ACTIVATED, ETC... THE NOISE COULD ALSO BE DESCRIBED AS A LOW TONE BUMP SOUND, AS IF SOMEONE LIGHTLY TAPPED ON THE MOST REARWARD SIDE WINDOW. ENGINEERING IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING THIS CONCERN. SINCE THIS CONCERN MAY BE CAUSED BY MULTIPLE FACTORS FOLLOW NORMAL WORKSHOP MANUAL (WSM) DIAGNOSTICS. REFER TO WSM SECTION, 415-00. DO NOT REPLACE COMPONENTS IF ROOT CAUSE CANNOT BE DETERMINED. TO ASSIST WITH THE INVESTIGATION USE THE REPORT A VEHICLE CONCERN LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OASIS REPORT AND SUBMIT A GLOBAL CONCERN REPORT (GCR). CONTINUE TO MONITOR OASIS FOR UPDATES.
