The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Mkx. The contact cannot see the instrument panel while driving during the day. The panel becomes invisible and he cannot tell how fast he is driving. He also stated that the windshield has a tremendous glare. The service manager at the dealer drove the vehicle and agreed that the glare was very bad, but stated that nothing could be done. The windshield glare constantly remains during the daytime. The VIN was unknown. The current mileage was 3,000 and failure mileage was 50. Updated 03-19-08 the consumer stated the windshield is made by carlite co. And has a special coating between the glass. Updated 03/19/08

The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Mkx. The next day after the vehicle was purchased, the contact experienced poor visibility from the windshield while driving. The glare from the dashboard is the cause of failure. Ford is aware of the design flaw. The failure speed was unknown. The current mileage was 850 and failure mileage was 578. The consumer stated oc welsh suggested getting the windows tinted to solve the problem but the problem still exists. Updated 08/28/07
