This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Lincoln dealer.
This vehicle has 36k miles. It has had the brake booster replaced at 25k miles. Now the master cylinder is out. Also had the TP sensor replaced at 28k. Really disappointed in the vehicle. Very poor reliability. Piece of crap. I will never own another Lincoln product again

At 26601 miles brake pedal failed-went to floor. Dealer replaced brake booster. Things were fine until around 40790 miles. Took to dealer- no problem found. They kept car several days--drove it--no issues. Same for me--no issues. Until 6/09/18 sitting in garage after start up-foot on pedal again went to floor. Very soft pedal since then. This really doesn't make any sense to me~~the inconsistency of the problem. Going in for service tomorrow see if any issue can be found.

Once in a while when I have to break, the break pedal gives why and goes to the floor board.
There is a recall and the shop put a new break booster in for free.
But after a week I had the same problem. The wired thing is if the car is not driven for a day the breaks work fin.
That means when I go back to the shop and complain every thing is working fine they can not find anything wrong with the breaks. Don't know what to do, its scary when you do not know when the breaks act up again.

BOUGHT THE CAR USED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND IT HAS BEEN TOTALLY AWESOME UNTIL THE BRAKE ISSUE. I HAVE A STEEP DRIVEWAY AND COMING HOME ONE DAY I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE CAR SLOWED DOWN JUST ENOUGH FOR ME TO PARK IT IN THE GARAGE. BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WAS GOOD. VISUAL CHECK OF PADS AND ANY LEAKAGE WAS NEGATIVE TO ANY PROBLEMS. I CALLED SEVERAL LOCAL GARAGES AND THEY SAID THAT THEY DID NOT WANT TO TOUCH IT BECAUSE OF "BRAKE BLEEDING ISSUES". I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE DIAGNOSTIC REVEALED THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS LEAKING INTERALLY. I WAS ALSO TOLD THE BRAKE HCU MODULE ($760.00) NEEDS TO REPLACED ALSO. $2,673.94 LATER I DROVE THE CAR HOME AND THE PEDAL DID NOT FEEL LIKE IT DID PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. WHILE THE BRAKING WAS BETTER, IT WAS NOT TO MY SATISFACTION AND I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. AT THIS TIME THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT TOUCHED IT. IF ANYONE HAS EXPERINCED THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THE MKX WITH A FIX, IT WOULD BE GREAT TO KNOW. NOTE: BRAKE BOOSTER WAS NOT REPLACED.
