Brake booster diaphragm leak, air hissing sound from brake booster. Ford has already issued 'customer satisfaction program' 13N02 regarding brake booster/master cylinder problem' "certain 2010-2013 model year edge and Mkx vehicles built at the Oakville assembly plant from May 3, 2010 through March 28, 2013. Affected vehicles are identified in oasis." Our Mkx was built in July of 2013 and is experiencing the same problem.

Brake booster has tear preventing car from stopping when brake is applied, car has approximately 30100 miles. Took car to Lincoln dealer service dept and was told yes there is a problems with brake booster but my VIN no has not been recalled while others were for 2013 and therefore my claim would be not honored under recall

The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mkx. While driving approximately 50 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to stop the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were unknown.

Tried to restart and car did restart. 1 week later while driving the dashboard control panel (phone, navigation, sirius, climate blackened out. Car stalled in middle of highway. No power. Later the same day, brake pedal went directly to the floor when starting car.
