The contact owns a 2016 Lincoln MKX. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the brake assist, brake, traction control, and anti-skid warning lights illuminated. The auto-braking system became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the wheel hub, wheel sensor, lower control arm, and ball joint. Additionally, the mechanic informed the contact about several low voltage codes. The battery, alternator, and starter were working as designed, but there was low voltage. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
