Today, problem occurred with service brakes when I stopped at light. Brakes made a strange sound, then the car essentially skidded to a stop. I honestly thought I'd go through the light, but I stopped the car just in time. Light changed, continued driving, but noticed at next light, brakes had to be pushed down to the floor and even then, the car wouldn't stop properly. I was on my way to work, but returned home immediately. I do not feel safe. This is the 3rd time this has happened since Feb. of 2016. Took car into a "City Garage", nothing could be found wrong with it. Husband has looked several times, can't find anything wrong. This is an intermittent problem. Car was left in garage today for 3 hours, I got back in it, drove it around the neighborhood, no problem now. Comes and goes, no way to predict this. Getting ready to buy new car, almost certainly will not buy LIncoln again. I went online this morning and saw the previous complaints, ESPECIALLY the third one, posted Jan. 11, 2016. This describes my problem to a T! Printed it out, showed my husband and will take car to a LIncoln dealer tomorrow morning. This is VERY troubling.

The 2008 Lincoln MKZ needs to be recalled for faulty ABS pump on brakes. Which causes the brake pedal to go all the way to the floor when pressed to stop the car. This is a serious safety violation and needs to be addressed ASAP.
