I've always taken my car to the dealership for any work. This past March they flushed the transmission and that's when my problems started. I'm hearing from transmission places that my transfer case has no oil in it and it need to be replaced. My question is how is that possible? The reason I take it to the dealership for check ups and any maintenance is so problems like this wouldn't happen, but here I am. I called Lincoln and they could care less, I guess not too many complaints or no death has occurred. I'm so angry, but what can I do but get it repaired. I paid all that money for extended warranty that expired when I reached 60000 miles. They did the oil change in Aug, did they hear the noise and didn't say anything knowing I'll be back? Should I allow them to fix it or go somewhere else.

My transmission started to have a growl in it as soon as I started the vehicle and there was some vibration even felt through the steering wheel. I am assuming the transmission but I really dont know. I took my Lincoln in for an oil and filter change and told the head mechanic about problem. He said I probably needed the transmission flushed ($650.00) and some sensors replaced) He also informed me that my thousand dollar tuneup was due. Damn, I thought my engine was running good and now it needs a tuneup.
I don't have a money tree in my back yard. I am on social security. I get a 2% raise this year but California put a12 cent a gallon gas tax among all the other taxes. Ooops, I got off track there a little bit. After I drive my car for several blocks the noise and vibrations almost go away. I paid a lot of money for this Lincoln so I would not have these kind of problems. I may as well bought a foreign vehicle but wanted to keep my money in America.
I think the wise thing for me to do is have the tranny flushed and hope that fixes it. If it doesn't I will be back here yelling as loud as I can.......... Merry Christmas everyone!
