Purchased this vehicle in Oct., 2009. Within a month the cruse control started acting up. Cruise would shut down for no reason what so ever and than would not be available for miles. This was brought to the attention of Koch on Dec. 15, 2009 with no fix. It was also taken to Denham Ford, Wetaskiwin on a number of occasions with no improvement. The cruise kept malfunctioning on a hit and miss basis. In July, 2011 I was returning from Gr. Prairie the cruise shut down about 20 times in a 100 K. I finally gave up as it was to distracting.

July 7, 2011 Koch Ford said they reprogrammed the C -M module.The cruse worked normally for a while.In March 2012 when returning from Kelowna the cruise shut about 50 times so I finally had to give up using same. On April 11, 2012 Koch Ford advised they had a TSB-10-21-2 and would replace the TR Sensor 9E9Z7H5570. This part was not available at Kochs, so it was installed by Denham Ford about a week later.

In Oct, 2013 the cruise control started acting up again. On Nov. 13, 2013 Denham Ford replaced the TR Sensor and the cruise control worked normally. In Aug,2014 the cruise started acting up again and has occasionally shut down since.

I am now on extended warranty which expires on Oct. 29, 2015. Obviously this is going to be a problem in the future. Ford of Canada still insists this was not a problem in the 2010 MKZ.. I have had cruise control problems from when I purchased this vehicle and it still is not properly fixed. I strongly feel the Ford of Canada should be responsible for future repairs to cruise control problems with this vehicle and I am requesting that Ford of Canada at least provide further extended warranty in regard to the cruise control problems.
