The smell is overwhelming, its like being parked in a garage with the car running. There is an active recall for the Ford Fiesta and Focus same year and 2.0L engine but nothing on the Lincoln. Its clearly the same problem. I believe this is related to the car not starting after fueling and the car dying at random. The dealership Ford recommends replacing it...well why isn't there a recall on this also if Ford is aware of it.A vehicle releasing gas fumes is a hazard and the loud noise attracts people to the noise.
