The contact owns a 2000 Lincoln Navigator. While the vehicle was parked, the front end burst into flames. The contact stated the fire started near the cruise control switch. The fire department came and put out the fire.. the fire department filed a report. The contact stated no injuries occurred. The vehicle was destroyed. The contact reference recall NHTSA campaign id number: 05V017000, vehicle speed control:cruise control, and stated the recall work was never performed on her vehicle. The vehicle was purchased used in 2010. The approximate failure and current mileage were 118,000.
