My suspension went out while driving on the freeway. The air compressor stopped working. I thought the air struts needed to be changed, so I bought new front bags ride height sensors and a new compressor. put it back together and the plug for the relay will not turn on my air compressor to air up new shocks.

I have been searching for answers 2 months and find the junction boxes are a huge issue with weird things happening like lights coming on and shorts in different parts of the car. I do know there is a leak that must be known by Ford as too many complain about the water getting in on the passenger side. I too have this problem. I can start my SUV with no problems it runs good still. I do regular maintenance. I have batted my head to try and find any shorts and unable to locate where.

Tomorrow I will attach a meter to my battery with wire to place in my car. After I put the car to sleep I will run it will pulling the fuses out one at a time on the left passenger kick. I have seen a video about doing this and when the bad wire is near to the problem it will lower the voltage on the meter. I guess next is to figure out where the problem is.

I believe that Ford knows they made faulty junction boxes on many million cars and they do not want the public to know so they do have to recall this issue. This is more than a rip-off.

If anyone has an answer to why the working relay will not turn on my air suspension compressor, yet I can make it work by a jump? this is problematic for many. If your in an area that rains watch out if your vehicle is outside. 8 out of 10 it ill get damp inside the floorboard then get under that junction box. Next is condensation and mold that will ruin something in this so-called luxury car... I am disabled and not easy for me to just go spend money on this problem

Nice car, but air suspension fail at colder temperature, below 40F. At that point vehicle pretty sure bouncy too much, most likely very unsafe to be driven.

Look it up Ford and Lincoln. Hundreds of complaints on this issue, ta point that conversation kit to spring was available. As former Ford employee, I am embarrassed to see a company simple refuse to acknowledge an obvious problem. I always defend Ford quality, but in this case lying to myself as I have been experiencing the problem constantly in cold weather. Man up, and come up with solution.

The Air Suspension went out on our Lincoln Navigator on a trip from Florida to Pennsylvania. We were bouncing all over the place, some of our thing even got broken. It happened first in South Carolina, they reset it and we went on our way. It started again in the back hills of WVA, they couldn't do anything. Drove on to PA, had to put the car in the shop for 4 days and get rental. They replaced the compressor on the suspension at around $1300, plus we had to pay for the car rental. Drove back home seemed ok, but still seemed a little off.

About 2 months later it started again, every time we'd take it into Ford they couldn't find a problem. They finally replaced the compressor again in June, and we still continued to have problems through December. Again we'd take it in and the "check suspension" light would go off and their computer could not detect a problem.

Today, Jan 20th, the suspension light came on again, bouncing everywhere as usual, and we took it back in. We left the car running so the light wouldn't go off. They have been on the phone with Ford company, god only knows what they will come up with, probably nothing. I did read in another site that when tires are changed on a Lincoln that they have to turn the suspension off. Ours were changed the day before we left for a trip, so I'm sure they ruined my car.
