Town Car 5.0 L

Water leaks inside the car on the front passenger side only when it is raining. Dealers say they have to have the car five days to trace the problem. They have 2 more in the shop right now, yet they want to take the dashboard and trim and possible the heater core. I think they know what is wrong but want to search for the problem.
