The contact owns a 2005 Lincoln Town car. The contact stated that there was a water leak that showed up in the carpet and would stand 1.5 inches deep in the rear of the vehicle. He felt that it was dangerous because of the electrical seat connections that were exposed to the water. He was not sure where the water came from. He had not taken the vehicle to the dealership but had called the manufacturer. The representative made a record of his concern. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current mileage was 42,313. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000- updated 04/16/10. There was a drain hole located under the hood above the firewall. It was covered by cowling. The drain hole became blocked and a leaked formed from the sealant deteriorating surrounding the drain hole. Updated 07/19/10

On the 2005 Lincoln Town car the brake and gas peddle are to close. When you step on the brake it is very easy to put your foot on the gas peddle at the same time. This could result in a very dangerous situation. This has been an ongoing problem from the day I purchased this car.
