The gas pedal is located too close to the brake pedal. It is very easy to press on both pedals at the same time. This has happened to me 4 times in the six months I have been driving this car. The problem is alleviated somewhat by positioning the adjustable brake pedal at the most extended extreme, but it is still far too easy to depress both pedals simultaneously.

I have a 2006 Lincoln Town car. It has a driver adjustment on the height of the brake pedal. Even with it at the top, when you apply the brakes, the accelerator is so close that you can push it also. This is very dangerous. Several times now, I have avoided an accident only because an oncoming driver missed me. Coming up to a stop sign, I've applied the brakes only to have the car jump forward into traffic.

: the contact stated, the instrument panel does not have enough illumination to clearly see the readings in daylight hours. The lack of illumination in the instrument panel defers concentration from the road, when viewing displayed information. The dealer was informed of the problem who determined the only solution was to turn up the brightness on the instrument panel to full, which had already done. The dealer offered no other solution.
