Open circuit on driver pretensioner indicated by 5x5-beeps and 3x3+3 flashing airbag light. Diagnosed by substituting 2.2 ohm resistor in the b-pillar yellow connector, which turned off the warming.

Air bag light is always on. Sound of 5 beeps four times about every half hour. Repair shop and lincoln says this is a seat belt sensor issue. Seat belt maker went out of business. Lincoln says they won't guarantee that a replacement belt from stock will work. Cost to replace, parts and labor is about $700.00. Lincoln won't tell me whether or not the air bags will deploy in the event of a crash. Looking on various blogs I see that this is a know problem and many fellow 2006 Lincoln Town car owners have reported the same problems. When will Ford/Lincoln make a recall for this know Problem?

Started the car and got a flashing airbag light. Then the light went from flashing to solid and started a series of 5 beeps and repeated the series of beeps 5 times. Auto repair shop near me diagnosed the driver side seatbelt pre-tensioner as the issue and says the belt and pre-tensioner all come in one kit and will be around $1,000 to repair. Did not get the service performed. You'd think with this being a well-known safety problem, Ford would recall this part.
