My 07 Lincoln only has around 80,000 miles on it and has water leaks causing water to pool in the floor boards thereby causing the potential for rust, electrical issues and the hazards that could result therefrom. A quick online search will reveal to you that these leaks are incredibly common and very well known among Lincoln owners and dealers alike (very, very common problem due to manufacturer defects) but Ford refuses to do anything about it. Given how widespread this problem is it seems that the right thing to do would be for Ford to issue a recall and repair these things. Problem appears to affect 99'-11 models. Thank You

I put my foot on the brakes, put it in reverse, and it just took off, across the street, where I ran into 2 buildings.

Water accumulates on floor front and rear. Passenger sidethe car can be in motion or stationary during rain or going through car wash. We had a 2001 towncar with the exact same problem. After googling this issue I find there are many autos with this problem. What we spend for these autos this should have been resolved by manufacturer years ago!

The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Town car. The contact stated that there was a water leak in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The contact mentioned that water started leaking from the driver's side all the way to the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but the technician was unable to explain what was causing the failure. In addition, the contact mentioned that after refueling, the fuel gauge was reading that the fuel tank was empty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 82,000.

I was stopped and entering a turn. There was no ice on the pavement. As I turned left the car accelerated and the brakes became unresponsive. The car spun and hit a fire hydrant. This car at other times as suddenly accelerated, but I was always able to apply the brakes and it calmed down in a few seconds.
