Both front airbags deployed and popped in Mazda 626, 2000 as was driving 60-62 mph on I-580 about 9:15pm Nov. 8, 2001. Saw nothing in roadway. Firechief coming up other side of freeway stopped to help. Said I had not hit anything. They saw no road debris. Told me to have car towed. Aaa sent expert. Expert said manufacturer defect caused deployment. Aaa won't cover because not collision. Mazda refuted aaa expert. Aaa sent doctorate specializing in sensors/airbags to inspect car. Said undercarriage damage, but not sufficient to deploy airbags - manufacturer's defect.
