misfiring of spark plug. check engine code said #5 plug
Engine running ROUGH! Loss of power. Check engine light came on. I read the codes... they said "#5 spark plug misfire". I removed bad #5 plug.... It looked like a CRACKED white porcelain insulator. I replaced the #5 spark plug with an AutoLite plug.
It happened again about 1 year later. I was told spark plugs #5 & #6 do this frequently..COMMON!. You NEED to replace with MOTORCRAFT spark plugs.... NOT AutoLite.
#5 is center plug drivers side (V6)
#6 is farthest aft plug drivers side (V6) (I think?)
