I brought my CX3 Mazda to the dealership and complained about condensation in the front and rear headlights and front windshield. The dealership fixed the front and rear headlights but told me I would have to bring the car in so that they could take pictures of the inside of the windshield icing up. Very scary to be driving home in the icy rain/snow and the inside of your windshield ices up, I could not see anything in front of me and I had to pull over numerous times to scrape the ice on the interior and exterior of the window so that I could drive home and not get into an accident.
The next time it happened I only scraped the ice on my side of the windshield and drove to the dealership, then I noticed ice on the inside of the rear windshield as well, the technician took pictures of the windows then I left the car for the day and said they ran water over the windows and there was no leaks. I told them that I didn't think there was a leak but a broken seal.
The next time it happened I returned to the dealership, they took pictures and I left the car for a week. When I returned they told me that they ran water over the windows and there was no leak, once again I told them that I did not think there was a leak but a broken seal. They told me Mazda would not authorize any repairs as there were no other complaints other than mine on this car model.
I have never ice inside my windshield before in the 40+ years driving and I told them that I do not feel safe driving this car in the ice and snow. I am also writing Mazda as I think as a safety factor that they would authorize further repairs ie take windshield out and reseal. They told me I probably had wet boots on and that caused the problem, that is ridiculous as the ice was on the inside of the windshield before I got into the car.
