oil pressure sensor failure

First the car had an oil leak on the top of the valve cover. To remind you, this car is 4 years old with 40k on the car (50k now) . Mazda was reluctant to fix it, but eventually they did, along with a check engine sensor that was a mystery why it kept coming up.

Fast forward a few months and just after an oil change, the oil pressure sensor gives up. First, no idea what the problem, beside the red flashing text on the dashboard to "Stop the vehicle and park it at a safe place, otherwise serious engine damage could occur" as well as the car going into limp mode, and refuses to accelerate.

This is the 3rd time I'm taking in the car to Mazda service this year. That's every other month so far.

Mazda being reliable? maybe it was once upon a time, but no longer? Maybe it's BS? I had less trouble with my Hyundai.
