In 2022 I bought a used 2015 Mazda CX-5 grand touring with 74000 miles it was used daily and did two cross country trips from coast to coast. I did all the scheduled maintenance and the car performed perfectly and was never in a shop for repairs. At 159000 miles the engine light started blinking and the engine was making strange noises and losing power. I had it towed to a mechanic and was told it was a cracked block. I really enjoyed the car but I don't think I would chance another Mazda. I've owned 2 Toyotas and a Honda and put on over 250000 miles on them and the motors ran as well at 250000 miles as they did as new. I'm now facing a $4800 swap for a used motor.
