When I looked at all the features of my Signature edition CX5, it appeared like it had a lot to offer, Napa Leather seats, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, Wood Accents, Turbo Engine, GPS... at least I thought it did. The window sticker clearly states that the vehicle has GPS when I got home and played with all the tech I noticed that in the GPS menu it asked for me to install the GPS card. I was confused but thought maybe they forgot it so I reached out to the sales manager and he said the GPS card is an add-on. I was blown away. How do can you say it has GPS but doesn't include the software to make it work? That is false advertising right? If it's not, why don't they say the car has a 2.5L Turbo engine but don't actually put the engine in the car? or say it has air conditioning but don't include the controls? I could go on and on about this.
Do you know how much it costs for the card? $400!
I called Mazda USA and the confirmed that this IS the case. It IS an add-on accessory. I think us consumers need to lawyer up and get them in trouble for false advertising a feature that is not enabled!
It needs to say "GPS READY" on the window sticker not that an included feature is "GPS"
