The contact owns a 2022 Mazda CX-5. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed with the heater activated, the contact heard an abnormal explosion. The contact stated that the sunroof had exploded without impact. There was no warning prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacture was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 188,000.
