problem #1

CX-7 Grand Touring 2.3L 4-cyl

While driving one day I hear and feel a pop under the seat, all of a sudden the seat is moving back and forth and became very unsettling. This could have been very dangerous and could cause the driver to lose control as you find the seat moving up and back all of a sudden. When I was at the dealership for an air bag recall they looked at the seat and said that the problem is the bracket under the seat broke and that since the car was not under warranty at the time that I would have to pay for this myself, that the part was over $900 and that did not include labor. The repair staff said they are seeing this a lot with the cx-7 and other models and unfortunately it is not covered and would be all cost to me. I find this outrageous and feel that since this has made the cars unsafe that Mazda needs to do something for their customers to ensure this safety issue is fixed without passing the finical responsibility for their workmanship or lack thereof onto the customers. I will be letting people I know to stay away from Mazda as this is not safe or good service to the customer.
