CX-7 Touring 1.4L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,000 miles

I own a 2007 Mazda CX-7 Touring, I bought it in 2008 and I loved it... Until it started making a noise every time I would turn on the engine. I took it to the dealership to find out what it was. Mind you that by this time, my warranty had already ran out. I took it in to see what the problem was and was told that the timing chain was the problem. I had them give me a quote to get the car fixed... I almost fainted when I got it! $1,200... Really?

Well, my car has been sitting in my driveway as part of the my house... The only thing I've been doing is turning it on and doing the oil changes... Other than that, the car just sits there. I was told that If I continue to move it, it will eventually leave me and I run the risk of blowing the engine... I see all these complaints and I can't believe that Mazda hasn't done anything about it... C'mon Mazda... Get with the program and stop ignoring us... We know you know about all these problems and headaches your vehicles are giving us.

It's time for Mazda to step up to the plate and do something about it... I hope a lawsuit is brought up to them and end this problem soon... This is ridiculous!!!

CX-7

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,000 miles

Noise getting worse and worse. Dealership is telling me that it is the timing chain & cost should be $1500.00.

My car is a 2007 and only has 88,000 miles on it. This should not be happening and the Mazda dealership is saying it is my cost.

I have 0 to pay for this. Still have a car payment.

CX-7 Turbo

After speaking to serviceman from Mazda dealership, I continued to drive my car thinking it was safe to drive due to his response; after some weeks went by I was driving on the hwy I got ready to put my foot on the gas and realize the car just shut off without a warning. I had the car towed to another mazda dealerhip in Brandon, FL. They gave me a call the next day and told me it was my timing chain and I was looking at 4000 for repair or 8000 for a new enginge. I told the service I had call another mazda dealership and spoke to serviceman and explain to him what was going on. I had to bring in my receipts from oil changes to show I was keeping the maintance up. Mazda Corp is only going to put $1000 toward the repair and that's the best they can do, now I have to rent a car to have transportation and still make car payments, I am so pissed off right now I feel like Mazda should take responsibility for this they new the timing chains were defective and what would happen, PAY FOR MY CAR TO BE REPAIRED AND FOR HAVING TO RENT A CAR. I DID WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE DONE MAZDA USA!!!!!!!!!!!
