These lights suck. They burn out every 6 months, are costly and terribly unsafe

Lights continually burn out, repair is costly and the result is safety hazard.

I love this car but have endured it to the point of exhaustion. One or both headlights burn out every 6 months. The dealer repair costs too much, but the design is such that you have to fold back the fender well after popping out the clips and then contort yourself to a pretzel to unclip ridiculously fragile clips then snap back the plastic fender, hoping that it does not break after at least 20 repairs. So I have spent more on bulbs hoping to last longer and show brighter, basically having no luck with either.
I have gone to the dealer and am told they know about the problem but there is no recall or answer to OUR problem - DUH. I would hope you know about the problem because there are far too many complaints for you not to. Recall this terribly dangerous problem before someone dies. At 66 years old, I have owned many different cars and logged untold miles and never had a problem like this.

I have replaced the headlights on this car 5 times since 2017 - it's ridiculous and expensive. Not to mention a huge pain in the ass to change a headlight - it's a major job to change. Even when I change them with the most expensive bulbs it's still not very bright while driving.

As with the other posters, the headlamps on the CX7 are constantly going out and to change then is a real pain in the ass. This is a very serious issue, when they both blow out within an hour on a long drive, too! While the left goes out 2x as often and the right, this time they both failed within an hour.
If someone were to devise a glass headlamp with screws holding together light the old lights of years gone by, I'd replace these in a heartbeat with that.

The headlights on this vehicle burn out every few months. I have spent hundreds of dollars replacing these. I have never experienced this issue with any other vehicle. I purchased this vehicle brand new.

The date I entered is only the latest time I had it fixed! My passenger head light burns out about every 3-5 months. Not only is it a Pain in the butt but it's expensive. I have to put it in the shop to have it repaired. Its not like you just plug in a new bulb. The entire front panel has to be taken off and I cannot do this. I have to pay someone aprx. $50.00. I'm not sure if this is going to be an electrical problem which can get very expensive to trace down or if I should just continue to have them changed. Should it get into electrical problems.....I may as well get rid of the car!

headlight housing defect and bulbs keep going out
My passenger headlight goes out about every 5 months and I have to pay my mechanic $65 each time to fix it and this is the way I bought the car without knowing it.
