We purchased this car w/6K miles from a dealer and 1 week after that we returned it because of weird brakes noises and nothing was done. 4 months later the rotors were warped, so the dealer machined them. 2 months after that they replaced the rotors. The rotors have now been replaced 4x's and the pads have been replaced 2x's. We have 40k miles on it.
So every 6+ months we are back at the dealership with the same problem. They cannot find anything else wrong with this vehicle. Mazda Corp. is no longer wiling to cover this under warranty.
They have looked at the calipers, "brake line, carriers, and inspected the hydraulic brake components" and they can't find the reason that this keeps happening.
Has anyone experienced the same thing?
We have been told it's possibly from having an "unauthorized Mazda dealer" rotate the tires (the problem started before we had the tires rotated at a Ford dealership), we may be carrying heavy loads (125 lb. female isn't heavy), heavy braking (we don't live in the mountains or hills- the previous car that we owned never had the rotors or pads replaced in 5 years)
