Few weeks ago got a recall letter from Mazda. Made an appointment with Russell Mazda in Baltimore, MD. the appointment was made three weeks before the work was to be done. On March 25th at 8am took the car into the Dealership. Was ready to wait on the car, cause the letter said the Lower Control arm that was the reason recall. The service rep Brendan Lester told that the repair/recall would take 4/5 hrs, and they would give me a ride home and call me when the car was ready. this was about 8:30am. 3;30pm the service rep calls and tells me the car won't be ready until tomorrow. I tell him that, I have things to do tomorrow, and with out my car how am I suppose to do these things. He said he would give me a rental car for tomorrow, ok. He would make all the arrangements all I have to do is get to Enterprise car rental. Told him I could not cause he has my car! He sent a car to get me and take me to Enterprise. Saturday about 2pm I did not hear from the dealership. So I called. And called again, Had to call about 5 times never was able to speak to the service rep. So I went to the dealership, was pissed, had no idea of what was going on, the dealership closes at 5pm that day. And what am I supposed to do with this rental car, cause I don't want to have to pay for the rental. Arrived at the dealership at 3:45, very pissed talked with service rep these are the things he told me was wrong with my car and they should be repaired. 1. cabin air filter recommends replacement cost $98 2. Both front parking lights not working cost $80 3. power steering fluid discolored need service cost $165 4. Missing power steering fluid cap seal cost $25 5. Transmission fluid exchange service cost $323 6. Brake fluid exchange cost $165 7. Both brake rotors cost $495 8. Drive belts, cracking cost $240 9. Gas Tank heat sheild, recommends replacement cost $280 Then he tells me that, I have to done is the right tie-rod done costing $164. I put in $58 for sensors with the A/C along with everything else. Now what does all of this stuff have to do with a recall for Lower conrtol arms. Then last he tells me that the car would not be ready until tueday. So don't go to the Rusell Mazda Dealership in Baltimore if you can help it.
