Been around cars a long time have never seen aluminum rims peeling and fading like this. Very much a manufacturing issue. For Mazda to deny a claim is hard to swallow.

Mazda blames the stained wheels on improper car washing as opposed to a defect in the aluminum wheel. Refuses to warranty them.
